My 1st Pillowcase

My 1st Pillowcase.

This was the very first pillowcase that I sewed.  Of course it HAD to be in the correct colors…….

My First "Repair" job

This was my very first “Repair” job.  This was a blanket that Belinda gave to our Son Boobie when he was a baby.  Over the years, after many, many comfortable nites of use, it started showing those uses in the guise of rips, tears, and just plain ol coming apart.  Boobie asked his Pops could I do something with it.

This is the results…….

My Very 1st Quilt, I Thk

This was the very first Quilt, I think.  I don’t actually ah-mem-bah.  I think this is the one I gave to my Son Boobie for his graduation from THE greatest HBCU in the world, my beloved, FAMU.

Henced, the colors Y’all.

My 'Personal' Quilt

A. Shawn Collins, PTP, AICP
24 Sept 1959 – 24 Sept……

This is one of the two (2) sides to my personal quilt.  Given that I started sewing when the pandemic hit, this will be the first project that I’ve done for Yah Boy.

Please forgive me if that sounds selfish or braggadocious, but this one is turning out to be my best work yet.  I can’t even wait to see it.

Pray for yah boy!!!!!!

My 'Personal' Quilt, Numero Deux

This ‘Block’ will eventually become a part of the other side of my own quilt (the picture above).  I’ve been working on this quilt for at least 3 years (2020).  I finished the other side of the quilt about a year and half ago.

And no, it doesn’t take that long to sew a quilt.  It’s just that I’ve been busy with a few other things, i.e., other folks’ quilts, running my business(es), volunteer-stuff, and making my Pay-Pah.

Ah-mem-bah, this is a “HOBBY”  y’all.

Birthday Gift to My Big Bruh...Willie LeeRoy

I presented this quilt to Willie LeeRoy on his 75th Birthday back in April 2023.  The other side had pics of him and my Sis, San.

I really like these colors y’all.
